Triumph

Triumph is headquartered in Hinckley, Leicestershire, and its modern range rests on two kinds of engine. Three-cylinder engines power the Speed Triple, the Trident, the Tiger adventure bikes and the Daytona 660, and the biggest triple of all sits in the Rocket 3. Parallel twins drive the Bonneville family of modern classics, which includes the Speed Twin, the Scrambler and Thruxton models and the Speedmaster. More recently the 400 cc singles, such as the Speed 400, have opened the range to newer riders. Our catalogue currently lists 26 Triumph models across six classes, with naked bikes and adventure bikes the largest groups. How to choose Triumph

  • Tiger is a family name, not a single bike. The Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200 come in several versions, so check which one a page describes before you compare.
  • Several Bonneville-based models share the same engine but sit in different classes, from roadsters to cruisers, so it's worth comparing seat height and weight rather than the badge.
  • For a smaller Triumph, start with the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X, then move to the 660 cc triples.
